Zakia Khodadadi Won Gold and Qualified for the Paris Olympics

Zakia Khodadadi, the Afghan para-taekwondo athlete, won the gold medal by defeating the European champion and qualified for the Paralympic Games in Paris.
Mrs. Khodadadi, who now lives in France, participated under the banner of the Refugee’s team in the European competition to qualify for the Paris Olympics. In the final game, she faced his Russian opponent, Karavel Sholbana, who has won the European Championship, and finally beat her with a score of 16-14 and stood on the championship position.
The competition for the Olympic qualification was held on March 8, which is also the International Women’s Solidarity Day, with the participation of the para-taekwondo players from European countries in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria.
After this victory, Ms. Khodadadi published a newsletter on her Facebook page and wrote: “On March 8, I present this beautiful medal to all the women and girls of my country, Afghanistan, who are deprived of their smallest rights. I am here to fight.” ”
