The World Food Program (WFP) has said that about three million children in Afghanistan face the problem of malnutrition. This International organization affiliated with the United Nations has expressed concern about the situation of children in Afghanistan and has considered children as a vulnerable group that are more affected than others by the reduction of international financial aid.
However, this organization has emphasized that it is able to help only one third of the three million children involved in malnutrition.
The World Food Organization previously reported that about a third of the population of Afghanistan is facing hunger and more than 50 percent of the country’s citizens are forced to eat less food so that their children can eat more food.
With the withdrawal of foreign forces and the fall of the republican government, Afghanistan is involved in an economic crisis and is struggling with excessive and widespread poverty. Unemployment has become a disaster and millions of people are looking for a way to make the day turn into night and the night turns into day until their death is delayed.
Despite the humanitarian aid of the world community and international organizations, disturbing and shocking statistics of the extent of poverty in Afghanistan are still published and show the deterioration of the situation.
