WFP Helps More Than Seven Million People This year

The World Food Program has announced that this year, the organization’s humanitarian aid will be distributed to more than seven million Afghan citizens.
Bakhtar News Agency has written that this news was announced by one of the local officials of this organization in northern Afghanistan, in a meeting with the officials of the local government of Balkh.
Based on the news, these aids are supposed to be distributed to the needy people in three hundred and fifty districts across Afghanistan.
It is stated in the news that the deputy governor of Balkh has asked the officials of the World Food Program to offer their services and assistance in coordination with the sectorial departments, so that the people and families who are really in need are identified and receive assistance.
It should be mentioned that according to the findings and reports of international organizations, more than twenty million people of the country are facing widespread poverty and need urgent help. Meanwhile, millions of other people are also facing food insecurity, malnutrition and numerous health problems.
On the other hand, many aid organizations have complained about the lack of sufficient funds and the reduction of humanitarian aid and have called for more attention to the situation in Afghanistan.
