Three Armed Robbers Arrested in Bamyan

Three armed robbers were arrested in Bamyan who intended to ambush and stop freight vehicles in the Shikari Valley of Shibar District, Bamyan Province, to steal their goods and belongings.

The press office of the Governor of Bamyan announced in a newsletter that last night, after receiving a phone report from the area, Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadi, the Governor of Bamyan, accompanied by security forces, went to the location and arrested the armed robbers.

The statement added that the individuals were monitoring freight vehicles and intended to rob their goods but were apprehended by the Governor of Bamyan.

In another part of the statement, the Governor assured all freight drivers, taxi drivers, and private vehicle owners that road security is being maintained 24/7. He emphasized that the leadership of Bamyan’s local government is striving to fully ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property, particularly for freight vehicles carrying commercial goods, allowing them to travel these routes with ease and peace of mind.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a thief who had stolen cash from a citizen was arrested today in the center of Bamyan City.

The press and public relations office of Bamyan Police stated that the suspect, after stealing 9,480 Afghanis, was apprehended by the police of Bamyan Police.
