The Perpetrators of the Terrorist attack in Bamyan: “We Were Trained and Sent in Pakistan”

According to reports, three members of the ISIS terrorist group, who were also involved in the terrorist attack last summer in Bamyan, have been arrested.

In the video tape that has been published, these three ISIS members are mentioned as Mohammad Harun son of Hassan, Abdul Kabir son of Mohammad Nazir and Rasul son of Delawar, that two of them are citizens of Afghanistan and the third is a citizen of Tajikistan.

These people, who were arrested by the country’s intelligence forces, have mentioned in their confessions that they were involved in several terrorist operations.

Mohammad Haroun, whose nickname is Abu Zaid, in his confessions mentioned the terrorist attack on foreign tourists in Bamyan and said: “I have also worked in the transfer department. In the attack that took place in Bamyan, I took the weapon in my car from Kabul to Bamyan.” He also revealed his role in the terrorist attack on a sports club in the west of Kabul and said that it was his job to transport the cargo in which explosive materials were embedded.

He also admitted to attacking the employees of the “General Directorate of Orders and Prosecutions” and said that he raided the mentioned office four times and after recording informative videos and sending them to the relevant authorities, he took a suicide attacker named Abu Musab to the field, and then he gave him a suicide vest. According to him, Abu Musab carried out the suicide attack during the leave of the employees of the General Directorate of Orders and Pursuits.

Attacking the employees of the General Directorate of Prisons is another event that Haroun admits to doing. He says that he was following the employees of the said institution for four days until its car was attacked by a mob. He emphasizes that in this attack, he pressed the remote button to detonate the bomb.

In another part of his confession, Mohammad Haroun also talks about the plan to attack a religious school in Kabul and adds that a Tajik citizen was introduced to them to carry out this attack, and despite moving explosive materials in the said person’s shoes, he was exposed and arrested.

Abdul Kabir, another member of the ISIS group, who chose the nickname Osama, admits that he has been a member of ISIS since six years ago. He says that he was in prison during the Republican regime, and after the fall of the Republic and his release from prison, he rejoined this group. He admits that some time ago he was invited to Pakistan by the ISIS group and he learned religious, system and professional education in the Moskurat area with a person named Abu Musab.

Abdul Kabir also remembers the suicide attack against the head of orders and the pursuit by Abu Musab and adds that he was also sent to Kabul from Balochistan, Pakistan.

Rasool, nicknamed Usman, is another member of ISIS and a citizen of Tajikistan, who has been a member of this group since one and a half years ago. In his confession, he said that he was engaged in religious education in Pakistan for a month and a half and after that he was sent to Afghanistan and was waiting in the house of a person named Haroon in Kabul city.

After the formation of the ISIS group in Iraq and Syria, this group had penetrated into parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan and started recruiting soldiers, but at the end of the republican government, after the defeat in Iraq and Syria, it experienced decline in Afghanistan. Nevertheless, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the caretaker government, also spoke about the training of ISIS forces in Pakistan.
