The police of Saighan district of Bamyan province have discovered and cleared a 40 square meter drug plantation. According to the press and public relations office of Bamyan Police, Police was dispatched to the area after receiving the discovery reports and destroyed the hashish plantation located in the village of Kafshkhil of Saighan District.
The spokesperson of Bamyan Police says that the said area was measured using GPS device and then destroyed. He also adds that the owners of the mentioned lands have fled from the area.
This is despite the fact that last Thursday, a large field of opium drugs with an area of more than 3 acres of land was discovered and destroyed in Shibar district of Bamyan province. The owners of these lands have also fled from the area.
Bamyan Police says that it is determined to fight against drugs and asks citizens to cooperate in order to maintain and ensure the safety and health of the society.
Bamyan is among the provinces that were declared free of drug cultivation in the past, but the cultivation and processing of drugs has been promoted and increased in the province in recent years.
