The Caretaker Government Once Again Made a Condition to Participate in the Doha Meeting

Simultaneously with the beginning of international consultations and the efforts of some countries, especially Qatar, regarding the third Doha meeting on Afghanistan, which is scheduled to be held at the end of June, the officials of the caretaker government have once again placed conditions in response to the request of countries to participate in the meeting.
According to Bakhtar governmental news agency, Mawlwi Abdul Kabir, Political Deputy of the Prime Minister of Afghanistan, in a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar in Kabul, while appreciating that country’s aid to Afghanistan and emphasizing the continued investment of Qatar and other countries in the construction of infrastructure and projects, the Minister of Development has expressed hope that the visit of the Qatar delegation will improve the relations between Afghanistan and Qatar as much as possible. At the same time, the political deputy of the prime minister, referring to the third meeting in Doha, said that “the fact that the United Nations hosts meetings regarding Afghanistan, which is hosted by Qatar, means that Qatar and the United Nations have not forgotten Afghanistan and for them It has a special value.”
Mawlawi Abdul Kabir has also emphasized that if the conditions of the Islamic Emirate are accepted, they will effectively participate in the upcoming meeting of Qatar. According to him, the United Nations should consider the demands of the caretaker government so that the Doha meeting creates an opportunity for good interaction between them and the world.
The political deputy of the prime minister further mentioned the conditions of the caretaker government and added that there is no need to appoint a special representative of the United Nations in the existence of UNAMA.
Meanwhile, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has also implicitly repeated the terms of the caretaker government in a separate meeting he had with Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalafi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.
The economic deputy of the prime minister has emphasized that the caretaker government’s position should be respected in such meetings and international meetings about Afghanistan will not reach any results without the presence of their representatives.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar requested for participation of the caretaker government delegation in the upcoming meeting in Doha and said that with the presence of their representative, this meeting will reach a favorable result.
The third Doha meeting is scheduled to be held in Doha at the end of June. The appointment of a special representative of the United Nations in Afghanistan and the discussion on how the world interacts with the caretaker government of Afghanistan will be among the most important agendas of this meeting.
