The building of Qazan Boys’ High School in the center of Bamyan is inaugurated

The construction process of Qazan Boys High School in Fuladi Valley in center of Bamyan Province, at a cost of 381 thousand US dollars, has been completed and put into operation. This project, which was funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees,is opened today with the presence of de facto government officials, the donor organization, members of the Social Councils and various people.

The statement release by office of Bamyan governor says that Abdullah Sarhadhi, the governor of this province, at the opening ceremony of this project, asked students and local people to work hard in the path of acquiring knowledge to achieve high degrees. He thanked to the sponsoring organization as well.

The statement also quotes the governor of Bamyan: “We want education for children of the country within the framework of Islamic principles. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wants a progressive, independent and free society, and we are also trying to improve the field of acquiring modern knowledge and technology to provide the opportunities more than the past for the children of this country within the framework of Islamic and cultural values of the country.

In another part of the statement, it is stated that the building of Qazan Boys’ High School, in addition to having 12 classrooms, 2 special classrooms for computer training and laboratories, 2 rooms for administrative office and a security room, is equipped and chairs, solar power system, Games and entertainment equipment as well as a volleyball field are equipped and built in two houses in a standard way.

The lack of school buildings is one of the main challenges in Bamyan education system, which causes countless difficulties for the students of Bamyan province, especially in the cold and hot seasons.
