According to media sources and human rights activists, Parisa Azada, a protesting woman who was arrested about 40 days ago, is released from prison today, Monday, Dec 25, 2023.
This member of the “Afghanistan Women’s Movement for Justice and Freedom” who has participated in the protests of Afghan women in order to form an inclusive and democratic government and fight for the restoration of the women rights in Afghanistan, was arrested about 40 days ago from west of Kabul.
After the release of Julia Parsi and Neda Parvani, which happened a few days ago, with the release of Parisa Azada, apparently another protesting woman named Manijeh Sediqi is also in prison.
Human Rights Watch, UNAMA office, Amnesty International, human rights and women’s rights activists and many citizens of the country had repeatedly demanded the release of these prisoners.
As usual, until now there has been no response from the caretaker government authorities regarding how and why these women were arrested and released, has been published.
