Mirna Aho, the new head of the United Nations Humanitarian Aid Coordination Office (OCHA) has spoken and exchanged opinions about the activities and humanitarian aid in Bamyan province during the meeting with Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadi, the governor of Bamyan.
According to the newsletter published by the local administration of Bamyan, Mrs. Mirna has emphasized that the OCHA office is trying to distribute humanitarian aid in coordination with the local administration of Bamyan to the families affected by the floods and other needy people.
The news report adds that the head of OCHA in Bamyan zone announced the continuation of humanitarian aid in the center and districts of Bamyan province and pledged to implement useful projects in order to meet the needs of the people of Bamyan.
The governor of Bamyan also assured about security in the province and said that all organizations can operate without any worries.
Mr. Sarhadi has also asked the OCHA to cooperate with other organizations for repairing and reconstruction of Shekari road, which was destroyed by floods and seasonal rains.
