The Football Federation of Afghanistan has published a newsletter on its Facebook page, and has written that today Afghanistan Cricket Board encouraged and appreciated Farzad Mahmoudi and Omid Ghanbari, the national futsal players of the country, who have returned to the country after participating in the Asian Nations Cup in Thailand and advancing to the 2024 World Cup in Uzbekistan.
According to the news report, this ceremony was held with the presence of Nasib Khan, the executive chairman of the country’s cricket board, Hashmatullah Shahidi, the captain of Afghanistan national cricket team in one-day and test matches, and Ibrahim Zadran, the vice-captain of the country’s national cricket team in the T20 matches.
In this ceremony, Hafez Ahmadjan Zadran, the technical and professional deputy of the Department of Physical Education and Sports and Afghanistan Football Federation, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for encouragement of the players of the country’s national futsal team by the leadership of the Cricket Board and said that the Department of Physical Education and Sports Department Afghanistan always supports and cooperates with Afghan athletes.
Afghanistan national futsal team, with the rare brilliance it has displayed recently, qualified for the Asian Nations Cup for the first time, advanced to the elimination stage of this competition for the first time, and completed its history-making process by advancing to the 2024 World Cup.
