Marketing for Bamyan Products in Domestic and International Markets

The Directorate of Industry and Commerce of Bamyan Province has announced that the process of marketing the province’s products and goods in domestic and international markets is underway.

This directorate stated that necessary measures have been taken to support producers, market their products, and attract the attention of organizations and investors in Bamyan.

Hafiz Noorzi Aminzada, the Director of Industry and Commerce of Bamyan Province, mentioned that they have agreements with more than ten organizations and have held several meetings with traders and businessmen of the province to ensure the required support for traders, industrialists, and the marketing of Bamyan’s products and handicrafts both locally and internationally.

Mr. Aminzada described Bamyan’s products, including potatoes, felt, carpets, dairy products, and more, as being of high quality. He added that officials from the caretaker government have held discussions with countries such as Uzbekistan regarding the standard export of Bamyan potatoes.

He also announced the implementation of three projects related to supporting Bamyan’s traders, dairy processing, and promoting carpet weaving, felt-making, and making Barag production in the province. Additionally, he noted that the construction of two industrial parks in Dasht-e-Qashqa and Qarghanatoo areas in Bamyan’s center is in progress, which could encourage investment and increase production in Bamyan.

The Director of Industry and Commerce of Bamyan also reported sharing challenges faced by industrial and production activities in Bamyan with the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, emphasizing the need for better coordination between sectoral departments and domestic organizations.

Moreover, Mr. Aminzada highlighted the creation of greater facilities for the renewal and issuance of activity licenses for traders, stating that businessmen can now renew or obtain their activity licenses in a short period of time.

Bamyan is one of the provinces where the industry, production, and trade sectors remain underdeveloped, still relying on traditional agricultural products. It requires significant attention for the growth of its industry and commerce.
