A charity organization has distributed heating packages to 600 needy and deserving families in the center of Bamyan Province.
The press office of the Bamyan governor told Sattagydia that these packages were distributed today, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, by a domestic charitable organization in coordination with the local administration.
According to the press office, these packages included one blanket, a jumper, winter clothing for men and women, men’s and women’s outfits, and socks for men, women, and children. Each package was valued at approximately 9,000 Afghanis.
A representative of the Bamyan provincial administration, speaking at the distribution ceremony and addressing the needy families, expressed gratitude to the officials of the charitable organization responsible for distributing the aid. The representative stated that the leadership of Bamyan Province is consistently working to identify and support needy and deserving families and citizens in the center and districts of Bamyan through food and non-food distribution programs in collaboration with aid organizations.
Bamyan is one of the provinces with extremely high levels of poverty and hardship. Due to widespread unemployment and the lack of income-generating resources, its residents face severe difficulties. The province experiences extremely cold and long winters, making the need for heating materials and supplies more critical than ever.
