The Department of Combating Disasters in Bamyan Province informs that around 520 deserving and vulnerable families have been distributed food packages and cash in center of Bamyan.
Based on the newsletter of the mentioned department, 315 poor families in the areas of Shahidan and Qarghanatoo have received food packages including 200 kilograms of flour, 12 liters of oil, 12 kilograms of beans and 1.5 kilograms of salt from the Agha Khan Organization for Housing (AKAH).
The organization also adds that another 205 deserving families in Bamyan center have received cash aid packages from the International Rescue Committee (IRC). In this process, which has been said to continue for the next seven months, an amount of 2,800 Afghani has been allocated for each family.
Bamyan is one of the deprived and undeveloped provinces in Afghanistan, where the level of poverty is high, and the citizens of this province are in serious need of receiving humanitarian aid.
