The Police Command of the de facto government for Kabul has announced that 2 people were killed and 12 others were injured in an explosion at today’s afternoon in Dasht-e-Barchi area of west of Kabul.
Khaled Zadran, the spokesman of this command, said to National TV: “The explosion that happened in front of the commercial center of Barchi City Center was caused by a hand grenade.”
The eyewitnesses of this event and a number of citizens have provided different statistics than what was announced by national television. They said they saw more than 10 bloody bodies at the blast site.
In the videos and pictures from the scene of this event that published on social networks, it can be seen that a number of people are trying for carrying at least five people who have fallen on the ground.
Meanwhile, a list circulating on social media shows that only 12 injured have been taken to only one hospital near the blast site.
So far, no person or group has claimed responsibility for this explosion.
This is the second bloody terrorist attack since start of the week in Dasht-e-Barchi. Last Saturday, a passenger bus was attacked in the “Telegraph” area of Dasht-e-Barchi in the west of Kabul.
The police command of the de facto government for Kabul announced the death toll of this explosion as 2 dead and 14 injured. According to the statistics provided by the UNAMA, at least 25 Hazara civilians were killed or injured in this explosion, which was claimed by the ISIS terrorist group.
The cities of Kabul in the center and Mazar-e-Sharif in the north of the country witnessed other security incidents today. This morning, an explosion was reported in Khairkhane area of Kabul city. At the same time, it was reported from Mazar-e-Sharif that five people in the fourth security district of the center of this city were injured as a result of the explosion.
