Severe floods in several districts of Bamyan province left many casualties and damages.
The press office of Bamyan governor has published a newsletter saying that the villages of Dozdan-Cheshmah, Hazar-Cheshmah and Pudinato in Yakawalang1 districts witnessed severe floods today, Tuesday 25th of June, as a result of which 7 people have died and 10 other are missing so far. The operation of searching for missing persons and cleaning the transportation routes of these neighborhoods continues.
According to the news report, in this incident, 35 livestock of the residents of the area were destroyed, and in addition, agricultural lands, residential houses, and roads in the mentioned areas were also destroyed.
Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadi, the governor of Bamyan province, who visited the areas of the incident himself, assured that as soon as possible, a delegation will be appointed by the local government to investigate the damages and identify the flood victims, and distribute financial and food aid to them.
At the same time, the press office of Bamyan governor also informs about the flooding in Kahmard, Panjab and Waras districts of Bamyan province.
This department has written that due to heavy rains and flooding in these three districts, huge damages have been caused, which include the destruction of mosques, residential houses, agricultural lands and canals, agricultural products and water springs, and loss of livestock.
The governor of Bamyan Province has directed the local authorities of these districts to take immediate action regarding the cleaning of mosques, residential houses, roads, agricultural canals, water springs and farms.
Bamyan province, like many other regions of the country, has witnessed heavy rains and devastating floods in the spring of this year, which has caused a lot of damage and casualties.
