Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) for implementing six developmental and economic projects has been signed between the caretaker Ministry of Industry and Commerce and national and international organizations.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, citing the press office of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi, the acting minister of the ministry, signed the agreements yesterday in his office in the presence of representatives from the involved organizations.
These projects aim to empower families, support small businesses, and promote trade and vocational activities across nine provinces in Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the acting minister emphasized on importance of supporting returnees in the country and urged national and international organizations to focus on them. He also received detailed information about the projects, including their implementation methods, nature, and expected impact on the community. Azizi called for effective and transparent implementation of the projects.
According to the report, five national organizations and one international organization are set to implement six projects with a total budget of nearly $4 million. These initiatives will focus on economic empowerment for families, fostering entrepreneurship among youth, supporting small businesses, providing basic trade education, and promoting trade and vocational training in the provinces of Kabul, Herat, Balkh, Faryab, Nangarhar, Khost, Takhar, Badakhshan, and Bamyan.
