The cultural poverty is excessive; protect the precious cultural and tourism area of Band-e Amir

Recently, disturbing images of Band-e-Amir’s cultural and tourist area have been published, showing that some visitors and tourists, regardless of legal restrictions, have entered prohibited areas by vehicles and have disturbed the order of the area.

Such illegal and immoral behaviors show the depth of cultural poverty and ignorance of the citizens, which proves that a large number of people still do not give any value and importance to cultural, touristic and natural resources, and are completely alien to the culture and customs of excursion in the areas of tourist attractions. It should be said that such obscene behavior is not limited to violations in Band-e-Amir, but a number of citizens of the country have become accustomed to promiscuity and breaking the rules and regulations, and this is how they act in all areas of life.

Even more interesting and surprising is that the low level of knowledge cannot be considered as the only cause of cultural poverty and the uncivilized behavior of citizens, because these behaviors are not limited to the low-level and illiterate people of society. It has been seen that high ranking people with high knowledge and knowledge, especially officials and those with more power and wealth, exhibit their cultural weakness and poverty more than others, and break the rules and values.

This action of the high level people in the society is undoubtedly affected by the fact that because of their position, they see the law and the executive body as weak and powerless and for themselves they consider exemption and the right to act outside the scope of the law of regulations limitlessly.

Band-e-Amir as the country’s first national park has a very high value and importance, and all the rules and regulations that have been put in place for its protection and maintenance and have been implemented so far, should be implemented more and better than the past. Undoubtedly, all citizens without distinction have the right to visit these areas and to enjoy and explore, but no one has the right to do anything that disturbs the order and peace of the area or acts that harm it.

All tourists who visit Band-e-Amir are obligated to pay the most serious attention to maintaining order, purity, cleanliness and beauty, while respecting themselves and others, and avoiding any behavior contrary to morality and values that lead to harassment and discomfort of others.

The most important of all, however, is taking responsibility and performing the duties entrusted by the responsible entities, especially the Band-e-Amir Protection Bureau, which should not show such negligence and neglect. They should know that protecting Band-e-Amir and ensuring order and security in it is among their most important duties and responsibilities, and any lack of attention and underperformance will result in irreparable losses to this unique and historic attraction.
