Today, Saturday, January 25, 2025, the World Community World Services Asia (CWSA) distributed cash assistance to 1,810 needy and vulnerable families in Bamyan city.
The Bamyan Provincial Directorate for Disaster Management stated in a press release that the deserving and needy families were previously identified in coordination with the department. This cash assistance was distributed as part of the second phase of the project.
The press release added that in this program, each family received 2,949 Afghanis in cash, amounting to a total of 5,337,690 Afghanis.
It is worth to mention that the program plans to provide the mentioned families with winter cash assistance over the next three months as well.
The people of Bamyan are considered among the poorest and most vulnerable citizens in the country, with a serious need for cash, food, and health assistance.
