The Press and Public Relations Office of Bamyan Police says that today, Sunday, 21st of June, the anti-narcotics forces of that department have cleared a 98 square meter land where some kind of narcotics had been cultivated.
Khawani Rasa, the spokesperson of the Bamyan Police, says that this piece of land was located in the Sorkhdar village in center of Bamyan province and was completely destroyed by related forces.
After domination, the caretaker government of Afghanistan has banned the cultivation, smuggling, and production of narcotic drugs and has tried to eradicate and destroy them throughout Afghanistan.
In recent years, Afghanistan has been one of the largest and even the high ranked countries in production and trafficking of drugs, and in addition, millions of Afghan citizens have become addicted.
In the past, Bamyan province was declared as a province free from drug cultivation, but recently, the published reports about the destruction of drug farms indicate an increase in the cultivation of this destructive phenomenon in this province.
