Afghanistan national bodybuilding and fitness team participated in the 14th round of the South Asian competition, which is being held in the city of Male, Maldives, with the participation of eight countries. They won eleven colorful medals and achieved the third place of the competitions.
In this competition, the athletes of Afghanistan’s national bodybuilding and fitness team won three gold medals, five silver medals and three bronze medals.
Muslim Shah Faqiri, a worthy Afghan athlete, won the gold medal in +75 kg of bodybuilding and the silver medal of the competitions in 85kg bodybuilding. The other two gold medals of this competition were won by Naib Mubarez in the +80 kg bodybuilding and Naseebullah Azimi in the 175 cm sports physique category.
The silver medals of Afghanistan team were won by Faramarz Akramzadah in 70 kg bodybuilding category, Sattar Hosseini in +180 cm sports physique category, Mahdi Aslami in +180 cm sports physique category, and Vahidullah Siddiqi in +170 cm sports physique category and won the second individual place.
The bronze medals of these competitions also went to Shahid Sahim in 160 cm tall athletic physique category, Mohammad Mirwais Sakhi in the 70 kg bodybuilding category, and Safiullah Ghaffari in +90 kg body building category.
In the overall team competition, Afghan athletes took the third place after India and Maldives.
The South Asian bodybuilding and fitness competition has started on June 6th in Maldives and is scheduled to end on June 10th.
