Discovery of 16 Historical Coins in Bamyan

Bakhtar State News Agency has reported that 16 historical metal coins have been discovered in Bamyan province.
According to the report, this number of historical coins reached an inspection post in Waras district, was discovered by the detective and intelligence forces, and then it was deposited in the Bamyan museum.
Mawlawi Safiullah Rayed, Head of Information and Culture of Bamyan, said at the ceremony of surrendering these coins: “The ancient artifacts of our country represent the identity and culture of our people in the past centuries, so the Department of Information and Culture of Bamyan, in cooperation with the security forces, tries to prevent smuggling artifacts.”
Mr. Raid asked the people and citizens of Bamyan to inform the security forces or the employees of the Information and Culture Department of Bamyan immediately if they observe suspicious cases such as arbitrary excavations in ancient sites or smuggling of ancient artifacts, so as the smuggling of historical monuments is prevented.
Bamyan is one of the provinces that has the most historical monuments, and for this reason, it is always the focus of smugglers.
