Afghanistan national futsal team qualified for the top eight in the 2024 Asian Nations Cup in Thailand by defeating Bahrain.
Khorasan Lions, who had entered this competition for the first time with a unique brilliance, after three games in the fourth group of this competition against Iran, Kuwait and Bahrain, with four points after Iran as the second team of the group, went to the next stage and created a huge surprise.
Although the country’s futsal players lost the first game 3-1 to Iran the proudest team in Asia, in the second game, they managed to stop the national futsal team of Kuwait with a score of 3-3, so that the task of those who advance to the next round has been pushed to the third game. and our national team still hope to climb. In the last game of the group, tonight our national futsal team defeated Bahrain with a score of 3-2 in an extremely attractive, exciting and stressful game for the citizens of Afghanistan to make history once again.
In this crucial and decisive game, Afghanistan scored the first goal and took the lead over its opponent, but with the passage of time, it was Bahrain who scored two more goals in Afghanistan’s goal, so that our hopes were dimmed and our players were under severe pressure.
