De Facto Police Denied the Arrest of Protesting Girls from West of Kabul

Recently, reports have been published by the media about the arrest of three protesting girls along with a man from west of Kabul. The names of these three sisters are Azadah, Nadia and Elaha Rezayee and their brother Yahya Rezayee. It was said that they were arrested from their home in Dasht-e Barchi, west of Kabul, on the evening of March 27.
Based on the published news, the follow-up of the family of these people has shown that they were not in the 13th and 18th police offices and also in Ministry of Interior Affairs, and their whereabouts have not been determined yet.
However, Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson of de facto government’s police for Kabul, wrote in a post on X that they found out after conducting an investigation that no government organization had tried to arrest these people.
Mr. Zadran also said that if someone has such a claim, he should inform the relevant police department as soon as possible, so that the case can be followed up.
