ISIS and Power Show in the Region

The recent terrorist attacks in Russia and Afghanistan clearly showed that ISIS has succeeded in regaining its operational strength. The evidence indicates that this group has succeeded to a large extent in regrouping and strengthening its forces and making threats to the region.
The unprecedented terrorist event in one of the concert halls of Moscow in the heart of Russia, which left heavy casualties, proved that Russia’s constant concern about the presence and influence of ISIS was justified. Based on what Russia has been claiming for years, ISIS finally managed to organize and execute one of its biggest attacks in the region. In this way, this group, while inflicting very serious damage on Russia, sent the message to the whole region and the world that it has achieved a level of power and ability that is capable of defeating Russia with all the forces and security and military facilities and can surprise it by passing through all security layers and target the heart of Moscow and carry out terrorist attacks. Meanwhile, another terrorist attack by ISIS in Kandahar and in the center of authority of the caretaker government of Afghanistan confirmed the re-gaining power of this group even more than before.
The increasing influence and operational capacity of ISIS has made even the west and the United States worried and anxious, so that Lenzie Graham, one of the famous American senators, has called for an attack on ISIS bases in Afghanistan. It seems that the world has come to the conclusion that ISIS has benefited the most from the vacuum created in Afghanistan, and during the period when the world’s security surveillance on Afghanistan and the region was reduced, it has been strengthening its forces with all its might.
Therefore, it seems that Afghanistan should not hide the presence and power of ISIS in the country. What happened highlights the need for the caretaker government to form a strong front in the fight against ISIS and other terrorist groups in close cooperation with the countries of the region and the world so that international terrorism does not make more victims of the people of Afghanistan and the region.
Continuing to conceal the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan and ignoring the capabilities of this terrorist group on the part of Afghanistan, the region and the world will lead to the continuation of deadly attacks by this group and will inflict serious and irreparable blows on the interests of the country.
The time has come for ISIS and the threats of this group to be taken seriously and action taken against it.
