The World Food Programme (WFP) in Afghanistan, in a published statement, has said that around 15 million Afghan citizens are concerned about how they will secure their next meal.
\nThis organization, which is responsible for delivering a large portion of humanitarian aid to Afghan citizens, added that it requires $718 million to assist those in need over the next six months.
\nThis comes as the World Food Program had recently announced that it needed more than $14 million just for the coming winter to implement its programs.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced the launch of the World Food Program’s winter assistance in Afghanistan and stated that this organization plans to cover approximately 6 million vulnerable citizens with its programs by April next year.<\/p>\n
According to the organization, nearly 1 million of the mentioned individuals reside in remote and hard-to-reach areas of Bamyan, Daikundi, Ghor, and Badakhshan provinces considered among the coldest in Afghanistan, where residents consistently experience severe and harsh winters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
